I don't think my fiance should be entitle to anything if we divorce. I am much wealthier than her?

and she says she isn't with me for the money why should she take anything if we break up. She does fine on her own and I'm not asking her to leave her job. She is a doctor. But I happen to have millions and frankly I worked to hard to ever give it up and I don't think its reasonable that a grown woman can't take care of herself 100%. I'm very generous with charities and my family and with my fiance, she gets 100,000 a month to use on herself and I pay everything else. however, she wants our marriage to be "real" and it will be. I tell that if we get divorced that will be equally real. She is gorgeous. I am 8 years older (only40). I am lucky to be with her. She wants to be lucky if we aren't together. I won't give in and I think its cruel in this day and age to think that should we fail I will have suffer the idea of her enjoying my money while I may be miserable. Some people agree with me but I think everyone should. I mean, she has been divorced once before and so have I. Please share your thoughts and realize i will probably share them with my fiance.

She is entitled to what you allow her to have and I don't know any sane person who gives money away when they don't have to. She gets nothing but her own life back. Understand. Don't back down.

This is one of the biggest reasons I will never marry. I'm a writer, so I'll always be broke, but in many states, your spouse is also entitled to 50% of your "intellectual property."

Do you know why George Lucas didn't make any new Star Wars movies for like 20 years? Because where he got married, there was an intellectual property law, and his ex-wife refused to give up her 50% right to his intellectual property.

I'm not risking it. And frankly, if marriage is about love, I don't see why what giving your stuff and your work away to your spouse has to do with it.

Your marriage will never be real as long as you're planning for the divorce, and before you're even married! I understand your concern, but what you said here was very telling: "She wants to be lucky if we aren't together." I would think very carefully before marrying her if that's how you feel. If you do decide to get married, get a pre-nup.

It depends. If she contributes more around the house etc, she could be entitled to a bit when you break up. why don't you negotiate a pre-nup. It is easier to work these things out before anything bad happens.
