Honey, you've got to know already that asking for legal advice from strangers in a web forum is not the way to go here. If your marriage is really over, you need to get a divorce. You need to go see a lawyer. You need to work out custody and child support arrangements. You do not have the right to keep your children from your ex any more than he has the right to take them away from you and "never return." They aren't *your* children alone. Unless you have sole custody and there's a restraining order against him, he gets to see his kids, period. I know divorce isn't fun...especially with kids in the picture...but you will get over this. Do your best not to sour your kids' relationship with their father no matter how you feel about him. Good luck. |

Seek legal advice - I'm not sure that you can "legally" keep them from him - but certainly voice your concerns over his threats! |

If you are living separately, file for custody. It doesn't mean he can't take them, but if you have legal custody, taking them is kidnapping, and the authorities will actually try to find them. Without formal custody, you have no recourse. |
