I guess you can say that my husband and I are joined at the hip... in a good way though. We do most everything together aside from work and school and we both like it that way.
I go out with the girls once every few months and went out last night. I told my husband I would be home at around eleven but ended up coming home just before 12:30. I didn't want to call because I knew he had to work today and I didn't want to wake him. Turns out that he waited up for me. Not because he thought I was up to no good, but because he was worried (we have a happy relationship and would never cheat on one another.)
I can tell from talking to him on the phone today that he's still a little upset. Does anyone have an idea on how I can make it up to him?(besides the obvious!)

I don't know about him, but what I would appreciate would be simple acceptance of the screw up without excuses. And remember it the next time he screws up. My wife would find some way to make it all my fault, or say well what about 10 years ago when you..... And that would keep the wound open.
So to me, just stick to "Yes, my bad, I'm sorry, thanks for being understanding, you're really sweet." and try to be in a good mood when he gets home. |
