I'm so sorry you're feeling sad and lonely. You can't ignore this problem or "be patient". You have to be proactive to ensure it doesn't escalate if you want to reclaim your marriage. Talk to him. If necessary, get counselling.
I was "intimate" with my husband hours before our daughter was born and (against doctor's orders) was active again 3 weeks after her birth. we've had 3 children and been together for 15 years and we still have the same level of intimacy and frequency as we did in the early days.
Act now. Seriously. Don't let it slide. |

Poor guy is probably a bit traumatised by the whole thing.
To be honest – it has only been about 7 weeks – and I would not be surprised (or expect) a woman to be ready in that short a time (although she well might!). I would be patient with a woman beyond 7 weeks – considering her trauma!.
Can you at least start with being close and intimate? If he cannot even be close to you then you might need professional help (or there may be another problem he is not discussing).
But if you can at least get close and “friendly” I would expect one thing to lead to another – and he will quickly forget what he has experienced in the heat of the moment.
Ed: One additional thought. Any "performance expectations" might put too much pressure on the mood - and he may not want to even "play". How about making it clear that you just want to play for a few weeks. At the same time suggest other avenues to show affection - flowers/making dinner/presents. If he rapidly adopts these I would imagine it is only a matter of time. If not - seek help.. |

Sometime that long stretch of pregnancy can take a bit of a toll on even great relationships. It's a great time, but sometimes the intimacy isn't always happening because of changes inside the woman .. not that love goes, but hormones kick in differently. Best suggestion would be to sit down with your man and tell him how you feel ... and you're going to have to start looking attractive, showing signs that you're interested and ... for sure ... go out on a good date with him again .. just the 2 of you. |
