Maybe his conscience got to him and guilt flooded him.
And he saw the bad in affairs.
which is a good thing.
and is which you should probably begin to realize... |

Um...the short answer? Some people are @$$holes.
Getting into an affair with a married guy is a bad idea to begin with, sorry to break it to you. There would be little, if any chance for long-term happiness from that.
If he's willing to do it to his wife, he'd probably be content with doing it to you, too. |
|

You were assisting him in cheating? How do you sleep at night? That's horrible. |
|

Ambivalence

He probably had a change of heart and decided to work on his marriage instead of screwing around with somebody else, and had to cut contact to get you out of his head. Leave it be and move on; that's what he's doing.
(Either that or his wife found out and told him he'd better never speak to you again or all hell will break loose. Which doesn't change the advice: move on.) |

Re read what you asked...then ask yourself the same question....duh.....YOU ALWAYS WANT WHAT YOU CAN'T HAVE.... |

Maybe he came to his senses and realized cheating on your wife is a pretty crappy thing to do. |

He was just using you to spice up his marriage. He loves his wife. You shouldn't have put your heart into it, he didn't. |

You were used. Face it. Men like him are dogs. Now, pick yourself up and dust yourself off. There are other fish in the sea. Never mess with a married man. You will never, ever become number 1 nor will he leave his wife for you. |
|

Moto

He realized his marriage more important. he tryes to fix it. that means he has to end it up with you. |

He's a worthless scumbag. You're obviously desperate, or care little for moral values.
I recommend raising your standards well above the level to which both of you have descended. I agree with the contributor who wondered why you would proclaim your shameful behavior to the world...it's just bad judgment... |
|

Rob

He probably almost got caught by his wife... like he gave away signs to her... so he got freaked out he was gonna get caught.... so he has to lay low so as not to mess up his marriage...
Don't worry, give him a few weeks or a month or so.. once things cool down at home he WILL come looking for you...
This will probably go on for years... so be mentaly prepared for alot of frustration. |

He told you he wanted some excitement and extra marital affairs and that's what he's doing. Your time is up and he's moved on. |
|

yeah, maybe he just realized that he shouldnt be doing what he is doing. |

2 Reason:
1) You are being used, then he left before getting deeper
or
2) He found it painful to have a family and an affair. He would rather resolve/ has resolved his problem with his wife. May be he discovered that he is irresponsible.
Time to take a break for you. Take it easy. |

I would say guilt or his wife was "on to him" and turned the pressure up- made it harder for him to cheat, the wife found out, OR he just wanted a short burst of excitment |

Sounds like his guilt about what he was doing to his wife got to him.
Leave him alone. An affair is always a threat to a marriage. It's hard to live a double life, to keep the secrets from your spouse.
He may have found that it was just not worth risking his marriage.
If his wife did find out and he wants to save his marriage, then she has every right to insist that he not contact you anymore, in order for her to help rebuild trust with him again. A affair is a horrible betrayal of trust to a marriage. He is doing the right thing by breaking off contact with you, as he lost control and betrayed his wife.
Do you really want to keep in contact with a man who places you in such a place, where you have to hide from his real life and live in the shadow of his marriage?
He crossed the line. Maybe now, he wants to correct his mistakes and remove temptation from his life. |

He probably dumped you because he felt you weren't worth the risk to his marriage or he found someone hotter fro his flings. Either way consider yourself used and discarded. |
