an hour and child support wants half my check so it don't leave me with any thing for my two boys is there a way i could get help or lower my payments a month

sorry i have a total of three kids and one two of them live with me and one doesnt i just don't think its fair to my other two kids that they wont get as much as my other son

Child support can only take a percentage of your check and it's no where near half. File for a modification and if it doesn't change, then you're not paying more than you should. |

You need to discuss this with the case worker that is handling your case and see want she has to say about changing your payments. |

this is the law, first kids first marriage comes first,,,,,if you don't like the high child support then get a lower paying job and then you can pay less and make less,,,,some states have different laws for child support .some states don't even cooperate with other states for child support and some states you pay tell they are 18 others tell the child is 21.the law may not be fair, but it is the law, and first born kid gets support before other and so on,,,,, |

EDIT to livvy: What do you mean it's NOT FAIR that she has to pay child support to a child that doesn't live with her??? That's what child support is for! So dead beats like her are FORCED to financially care for their offspring! And I find it odd that she doesn't have her child to begin with. They only take children away from their mothers when something very wrong is going on in the house.....ie-drugs, abuse! And now she has the audacity to COMPLAIN about paying for her own child!!! Unbelievable! |

Well jeeze, thats not nice what the last person said to you. "Keep your legs closed next time". Thats not nice at all, especially with you going through this tough time.
Well, It isnt fair at all that you have to pay child support for a child that doesnt even live with you. The least you can do is pray for you and your family.
