Okay i am 17 years old. i have know this girl since i have been 3 and her 2. two years ago she moved to texas when her mom remarried. we started dating 5 months ago. it has all been long distance mainly texting. i saw her over spring break and it didn't feel weird dating an old friend or kissing her. She said yes to marrying me but i haven't had a chance to give her a ring yet.I have a job already and am very responsible. we are planing on living at her moms house till we go to college(just because she wants to and i don't mind it). we are the only ones who know besides a couple of are friends.
okay here is the problem....i live in indiana and she lives in texas. we have to talk are parents into it and i know my mom isn't ready to let me leave (she wants me to live at home through college). we know we are mature enough for this but they might think different. money wont be an issue even through college(i have a full ride through veterinarian school)
So if anyone has any idea how to convince two very controlling parents to let their kids merry plz help me..and just tell me wat you think.
plz nothing about how we are not done changing yet(people never stop changing)

Just wait until both of you are 18. In the long run a couple years isn't all that much, especially when you are both so young. Plus it will give your parents time to get used to the idea. |

Both of you are still too young to get married. You haven't seen half of the world yet and you haven't had a taste of what life really is. Even if you do have enough financial support, that is still not a guarantee that you'll be able to pull it off without breaking a sweat. Enjoy being a teen! There's more to discover! Don't go through life so fast. If you do, you'll miss a lot of things! |

Sorry son but you don't get to say "just tell me what you think" and than turn right around and ask people not to tell you that " your not done changing". You see, you'll learn that in college. And you are incorrect. People, most people do stop changing. Just so you know it happens for most men sometime in there mid. to late thirties. Around 28 years of age you should be about 75% to 80% there.From that point in life you just get better at being you. Better at doing you. Mom knows this and is correct. DO NOT MARRY THIS GIRL!!! If your love for her and hers for you is true and real, than that will not change over the next eight to 10 years. Go to school. Get your life started and love this girl enought to let her do the same.
