This is what happens when you marry as a child. It doesn't matter what age you were, you ARE married. You cant get it annulled because too much time has gone by. You will have to file for divorce. Live and learn.

No as all state laws state that if you were underage or falsified doc to get married it is like it never happened. Problem is time, it would be hard to say that after 9 years you just now figured out what happened, but get a good lawyer, to try on your own would be hard and you could make a mistake that will ruin the possibility for good.

An annulment must be based on mental illness, fraud, forced consent, physical incapacity to consummate the marriage, lack of consent to underage marriage or bigamy. If you were younger then 16 and did not have court approval it is ground for annulment. 16 and 17 year old which did not have parental approval may ask for annulment but only 60 days after the wedding date. The fact that you lied about your age will not change the facts. I suggest that you file for the divorce which should be simple process after 9 years of separation

If you were younger than the age of consent at the time in your state, then your marriage was never legal in the first place and can be annulled.

you can file for a divorce.it's to late to file for annulment.a annulment has to be done with in the first 6 months of marriage.as for you lying about your age that doesn't make any difference now,because you are in your 20's.i hope everything goes good for you.good luck to your future.

This is silly. At 16 you definitely wanted to be married, since YOU lied about your age and other information and got married anyway.

Now you are separated, and call him your ex - when he ISN"T your ex until your divorce is final.

Next you will want your virginity reinstated.

Time to grow up and accept responsibility for being a foolish, headstrong child who has made some stupid judgment calls. If you have been with this man as his wife for 9 years, it is stupid to ask for an annulment.

Depending on your stat and how long you were in the relationship it may be considered i think a commonwealth marriage. As for lying on your marriage cirtificate you may be in some trouble. Falsifying your information on the marriage licience is considered fraud and is prosicutable. So you may want to tread carefully. Good Luck.;

A religious Annulment is a whole other kettle of beans.
