Yes, it doesn't matter who you live with or don't live with... it's the ex's obligation to support his child and no one else's. |

Actually, yes. Child support is about the child, not you. If you were getting alimony/spousal support then that would stop when you got married. But the child support goes until the kid is 18 years old unless otherwise agreed. If the ex says otherwise, you can actually report him to the authorities or court and action will be taken. |

My mom is remarried, I'm 17, my sister is 18, and she still gets child support from her ex-husband, soooo.... yea. Ya can. If he says that he doesn't have to pay, take him to court. The judge will rule in favor of a mother with child over a father with no children every time. |
