I need major help? been engaged for 3 years!?

Sorry if this sounds rough but he is not that into you and he is using "finding God" as a sad excuse for an excuse. If he was in love with you (the kind of love you would want your husband to have for you) he would be begging you to marry him not putting you off like that. He's keeping you around because he wants something and it's better than nothing but he doesn't want to invest deeper. Guys make all kinds of excuses but you have to see past excuses to what it means.

You have two choices... you can give him the time and space he needs right now or you can walk. You're both still very young. Has he had some sort of experience that led him to begin questioning his spirituality? I'd give him a little time to figure out what's going on in his life.

Trust me - you want the man you marry to be fully on board and certain that he's ready to commit to you. Otherwise, you're just setting yourself up for a brief marriage and ten times the heartache. Good luck to you.

you need to let him explore his religion and this has to do with himself and with god. you should have no part of it. it would be nice if you guys could do it together but he may want to do it alone. be supportive of him and give him time to do so. keep in mind after he starts practicing his religion he will be a much better man, he will stay faithful to you, and your marriage will have much less issues than if he didnt have his religion. you should take the time to do so yourself, and when you both get there meet back up and your life can start together with god involved

There is an easy answer here. God will be around for a long time. The 2 of you-not so long. Enjoy one another now, God will still be around. Beside, if God hasn't found him, maybe He doesn't want to be bothered by him He is busy you know?

my suggestion that I hope you take seriously is that you let this man find himself in whatever way he wishes (with you or apart) or you may be in for a hellish marriage. Every person deserves to feel like they are a sole independent human being first before becoming married. He simply isn't ready, and it's not about you. You're marriage could end up miserable or in divorce if you don't let him do as he pleases in this situation. His unhappiness will soon lead to yours.

Have you been together for 3 years or engaged for 3 years? That's a long engagement if that's the case.

Anyway, you don't have a choice but to let him go. He apparently doesn't want to marry you so move on. A 3 year engagement is lacking genuine commitment.

That's a new one for me. Never heard using finding God as an excuse before. But a 3-year engagement? Really. You are young, there are other out there and just let him find God in peace!
