I need your opinions about husband and motorcycle?

I always(7 years ago) told my husband who is now 30
that I would never be ok with him getting a motorcycle since
I feel in some cases it might just be a death wish.
We discussed it and I told him I would be ok with it
he got his permit and is going to enroll in a safety course
and getting a bike in the next couple of weeks.
Deep down I feel so uncomfortable!
I mean if I would have met him like that
it would have been different. He has always been somewhat of a racer in a car but a motorcycle?
He is a newbie at this and I just feel he is getting one
because his best friend got one.
I am just worried about him
and with us planning for a 3rd baby soon...makes me
even more paranoid

I can't deprive him of something he really wants

first i want to let you know i have been riding motorcycles longer than your husband has been born. I have never been in an accident on a bike. I have had 4 major accidents in a car ( none my fault), I had an industrial accident that was pretty serious, I had a horse kick me in the back, I have broken both ankles playing basketball (obviously too old to dunk) lol.. I guess my point is you would be wrong not to think something bad could happen to him, but bad things can happen to good people
no matter what they are doing. I have a better chance of dodging a car on a bike as I do a car. Don't drink alcohol and ride or drive for that matter..lol
You are nothing more than a good wife, don't put yourself in a tizzy cuz hubby is getting a new toy.
Depriving him of one is worse than letting him have one! He could walk to the mailbox and get hit by a car, you gonna stop him from getting the mail? |

as long as he is careful he will be okay, he is talking the safety courses, and just think how you will look on the back of his bike. |

He can do everything in his power to be safe. It's the people in the cars and trucks that kill motorcyclist. They always say " I didn't see him officer". You have every right to be nervous. He has to be a very alert person to know what the other drivers are gonna do, and stay in their mirrors. |
