Marriage is a sacred vow between two people who can't live without each other. The fact that it's an option to leave and start over should tell you something. Don't get married because all your friends are...that's like the ole ...if they all jumped would you.

If you love her enough to marry her, then she is worth fighting for. You BOTH need Pre-Marital Counseling. Your BEST bet is to go to your church and ask for a referral to a CHRISTIAN counseling service. But if that is not available, ask your family doctor for a referral to a local psychology center.

You should NOT marry her when she thinks this way. It is an almost sure deal that YOU will be getting divorced, because her idea of "conflict resolution" is to "cut and run" -- as her parents taught her, by example. A divorce is a messy and expensive option. Avoid it for now but NOT getting married.

Living together just makes it much easier to break up. At least, when you have a marriage license and legal grounds, there is always the fear of going broke that COULD keep you together to work out the problem. but just living together -- when the going gets tough, the single shack-ups get going -- out the door. Living together just makes it EASIER for her to leave you.

No. You need to stay SINGLE and live apart until this conflict is resolved. You need PROFESSIONAL help, and do NOY get married until the counselor believes that it is "OK", that SHE understands that HER PARENTS got divorced, but YOU and SHE can avoid it by working TOGETHER and working HARD to keep your marriage together.

First, never listen to people who CAPITALIZE to make points. If they do that, they're not explaining anything well.

Second, if you want to get married, express why you want it. What is so special about it to you? After you explain it to your gf, tell her you and her are not her parents. Lastly, if she has such strong doubts about having a stable relationship, perhaps you should find someone who will love you and be happy to marry you. You may love her, but if she doesn't reciprocate on the same level, you will never be happy. You may end up with the self-fulfilling prophesy and divorce her because she expects it to end badly.

I say don't move in together to start. You should either commit to each other and be happy or live apart and just date. I wouldn't worry about the "Marriage" label, either. It's not being married that is special, it's being married to the one you love, and she loves you back.

You should listen to your GF she's smart. A lot of marriages end in divorce, what makes you think you're so special.
