Find answers to your legal question.

I want to move my kids to another city, their mom does not want me to! should i listen to her?

i have custody of my kids, i have the right to move if i need to or want to! i have a job waiting for me that will make me a very rich man! so i need to move in order to take the job! she does not want me to move cuz she would not be able to see the kids at a moments notice!

this job will make my kids not ever have to worry about money! they will be able to go to what ever college they want and so on!

Your argument surrounds money, but what about their relationship with the mother? That is your first priority.

Is there a way you can help her relocate and find a job, so that she can remain close? What type of career does she have?

You need to do what is most important for the children. Money and material items do not necessarily make a happy child. Severing the relationship they share with their mom could be very damaging to them. You must consider your pros and cons in this situation. And be honest with yourself. Money is not the root to all happiness; it makes life easier but it cannot buy happiness. That comes from within.

She is still their mom...

You have custody. If you feel that area would be better for your family, move. Do it for your kids. Good luck at the new job!

Your first and foremost responsibility is those Kiddos' not your ex wife. If she wants to see them maybe she should have tried harder to keep them.
You need to make money to make the kids lives better and you can do that with the move...then move.
She can catch a bus to come see them

You have custody, not her. Go ahead and move. Keep in mind, if you want to keep in the better books, offer to pay for all the flights back and forth for visiting. You have to do what's best for your family, that's just you and your kids. Besides, the ex wife could move if she wanted too, and make sure you allow her to visit as often as she likes.

Your responsibility is to provide the best for your kids - who will look after them when you are working? Will they have any family nearby? How often will Mom be able to see them? Remember money isn't everything but it sure makes life sweeter!

if you have custody of the kids and they will benefit financially from the move, go for it.

Go ahead and plan the move if it means a better life for your children. If she objects, she can always take you to court. I don't see how a judge could object since the move means a huge increase in income and better support for your children. I am not saying that her feelings should be totally ignored, but you DO have custody of them and are responsible for their welfare. Good luck.

YOU have sole custody, which means you can do whatever you want with YOUR kids...meaning you don't have to ask her for her permission. If you need to you can take it to court and explain that the move is something that the children would benefit from TREMENDOUSLY. The judge will hear this and definitely want you to move them because that's what the court wants, for the kids to be at the best they can.

move away and congrats...don't listen to the ex...she has no legal or physical custody and can do NOTHING about it becuase she waived her rights as a mother to your kids...what a ******!

go for it...if you have custody she can't do much about it
