Keep it and keep records of everything he has borrowed form you. Then send him an email and ask him for it because you desperately need it and ask him to make arrangements. Tell him you sent the email because you didn't know how to ask in person.

Then take him to small claims court. When he replies and admits what he owes you take the emails to the judge....along with the receipts.

Worked for me. I never was going to marry the guy. He just borrowed money. Now I have won my case, have a judgment against him so he can't sell his home without paying me and now I filed a junction against him so his local constable can reposes one of his three vehicles. They will have an auction and I will get my money.

If your guy is like that one...he's lying about someone owing him. He borrowed from them and your just the next in line.

Girl, you are being used and that's not a good thing. If he has a job he should be paying for his own bills expecially if they're from an old girlfriend. Get back what ever money you can and then get away from this leech as fast as you can. Why should he spend his money when he can spend yours. Do not lend him or any other man, any money at all. I bet you you are not going to get all that money back, you might not get any of it back but consider it the cost of a class in real life and never do this again.

What's so great about him? It's easy to be easygoing and kind if someone else is taking care of your responsibilities. If you want to find out whether he's worth it, stop paying his bills, and see how he acts.
This one's a biggie, not because the money itself is a big issue, but because it's really, really hard to be partners with someone who can't hold up their end.
Also, if he's borrowing $2500 in two weeks, I'd be thinking cokehead. That's a lot of money. What is he, paying someone's mortgage?

Umm, you're dating a boyfriend who's in whole lot of debt, always asking you for money? I don't know.. something sounds funny.. don't you think? I think the answer is obvious.. :) You know.. In the bible, it talks about forgiveness, and letting it go and not having to be reminded. here's an example. a friend of mine owed me 150 dollar. I hounded him for months, asking him to pay me back, and he never made attempts to do that. One day, i was reading the bible, and it talked about that. if a person owes you money, let it go, if a person hurt you, don't hit them.. let God handle that for you.. I let that money go.. and he still havent paid me back to this day.. and That tells me a lot about him..

Surely, you see that by marrying you he then has access to your $$$ anytime he wants as he will manipulate you into a joint account... I doubt the ring is real, so go ahead & keep it! Chalk this experience up on the stupid wall & move on! You will never see the $$$ again.... expensive lesson well learned!

First you need to learn how to say NO. Hopefully you did NOT meet his request today. He's undoubtedly planning a fun filled wknd, which probably does NOT include you. Of course it's not right. But if you're foolish enuf to give him money, than he's no fool. He knows exactly what he's doing. If you've actually gotten IOU's in writing, I would insist he pay you back. Keep the ring.
And toss him out.

kep the ring as a deposit on what he owes you!! the, you have 2 choices; stop paying his bills and keep him, even though he seems very unstable and sooner or later you will realize this and be very upset that you chose to marry and unstable person, then try and get a divorce, only to realise that he is going to take half of what you have and he'll prolly get the alimony.. or, stop paying the bills, still keep the ring, and realise all the aforementioned before you marry said unstable man, and kick him out.. he will never change, cause he knows he doesn't have to... save urself, girl.. and ur $$, before its too late, and ur bankrupt....
