Yes and no. What matters to me way more than length is punctuation, grammar, etc. If I start reading a dense paragraph of text-speak with little punctuation nor capitalization, I can't get very far, and I quit. When people don't care enough about their situation to go to the minimal trouble of at least spelling out their words, I'm not going to go to the trouble of slogging my way through and answering it.

On the other hand, even if a question contains maximum characters, if it's broken down into paragraphs, and makes sense, I will answer it. As a matter of fact, I would say that I most enjoy answering questions that contain enough details to where I feel like I can get a reasonable understanding of their situation, and thus provide what I imagine will be a helpful response.

It depends on what it is about and if it's well written or not. If it is chock full of misspellings and grammatical errors that make it hard to read, sometimes I don't even read the shortest ones. With the built in spell checker, one should at least be able to spell correctly.

If it's hard to read and understand, no matter the length, I skip right past it.

I also will skip questions that don't interest me! I do read all the questions and attempt to answer them from my contacts though! No matter how long they are!

As for other peoples long questions I will start to read and if it is boring I will skip to a new question.

Questions I skip. lack of grammar, poor spelling and run on sentences. A person does not have to write the whole history of their life to ask a question.

Depends on how interesting the question is. But if it starts out sounding really stupid or with a lot of misspellings and bad grammar, I quickly loose interest. I also don't like to read questions where the writer is just whining about things. Or if they go into the text message mode.

Honestly I dont mind reading long questions...when i see a long question a worried person with a great need of advice comes to my mind...I usually try to give detailed and long answers...since we are here to help!!

I usually like the longer ones, they are more detailed but I will skip the perverted ones. Some of the questions that some ask are disgusting and don't deserve an answer.
