The only thing I would think is that you and your mate didn't have a good way to discuss fidelity in marriage. It sounds as if the accused cheater is chafing because of the close scrutiny. He might think that marriage is not enough and he wants more spice in his life. So he turns the tables and throws the responsibility on you.
OK, so let him do that. Where does that get you? Or him?
If you've told him that you know he's been cheating, have firm evidence to back up that claim. Then tell him the responsibility to be faithful or not belongs to him and him alone. He can give his opinion about that to your divorce lawyer - you had better get one pronto!

First, never accuse anyone of anything unless you have concrete evidence.

What you did is juvenile. Got anything to back it up? His calm answer tells me he is NOT cheating and views your question as one of a woman with low self esteem.

I can tell you from experience, when you accuse and their reaction is calm, he is either very devious or not guilty.

Depends on the situation. Games like that are tricky. A lot of times when people are cheating, they like to turn it around on the innocent partner involved.

let say he was ACCUSED of killing someone and really had not and was given 10yrs in prision. when he gets out of prision he could actually kill the person in the middle of time square and NOT go back to jail b/c he had already done the time for that crime.

no I wouldnt automatically assume that they were. But if you have your suspicions you should look into it more before you accuse. A friend of mine accused her bf of cheating and it turned out that he really wasn't and he really was just working late. He broke up with her bc he said he wanted to be with someone who could trust him (and she has a huge problem with trust, no matter the person) Don't always assume things.

No, but a person who says that was thinking about cheating and is using your words as an excuse. A non-cheater would be hurt by your words, may walk away or break up with you but will not say that he might as well be cheating.
