no.. if you are in college and focusing on getting your life together you are not a loser, what can a 17 yr old possibly know about maintaining a household.. marriage does not define how successful or unsuccessful you are....... i believe that in order to get married you should first have yourself set so that you can provide and have something to offer within the marriage....
and if YOU think they are losers because they arent married by 21... then ur ignorant! |

Getting married before you are 21 is like taking a cake out of the oven 20 minutes before it's supposed to. Sure, it may LOOK like it's done, but it isn't.
At 21, your brain is still changing, both chemically and physically. Choices you make at 21and younger will look significantly different when you are 25. Many of them may look bad...especially one to get married.
You got married at 17? Because you could get any woman? No, you could only get a woman interested in an immature 17 yr old male. A fairly limited pool, actually.
So, no, I don't agree at all. Getting married later makes for more mature decisions, and probably knowing yourself well enough to understand what you can and can't put up with in a mate. I'd say...wait. |

i know a few people who got married before 21 they are now divorced and realized how young and dumb they were... its not about having a career first, its about having a life first!

Sorry, I do not agree about being a looser by the age of 21 if not married. I got married the first time when I was 34. Married the second time at the age of 45. I got my career taken care of and lived the single life to get it out of my system. When I was ready to get married, I did. I am by no means a looser. Yes, I am a woman, but really, doesn't your question pertain to both genders? |

i think if you make that statement you are a loser. in all actuality, a woman would prefer a man with a career so he can take care of her, especially if they want children. women have more health issues than men therefore miss more work. women also usually make less than a man and depend on a man's decent paycheck to help them survive as a family. |
