Supermarket, star bucks, cafe, restaurant, just about any place where there are other live, breathing humans...Open with a hello and go from there...Pretty simple stuff...Not rocket science... |

Keep doing what *really* interests you and fellow travelers will show up. It won't be instantaneous but that's how I believe it can be done. |

Go where there are people. Not bars, go to a coffee house a book store. Go where there are women. Ask your friends to set you up. Let it be known you want to go out and met some girls. |

OMG! Its hard, and the harder you look the harder it gets, its not fun being alone but enjoy it for awhile, especially since you say you work so hard, save some cash, take a nice vacation, or take some time off work and join a bowling team or baseball team. Just dont stress on it, sonner or later you will hook up! |

You can meet people through work, I'm sure. Friends are also a good resource. They know you well and know your personality. Take up a hobby or interest that you really care about. What better way to find a person that you could have a common bond with? Good luck. |

Hope you realize that you will never meet anyone if you don't sicialize. It is simply impossible. At least socialize with your co workers, accept invitation to gatherings etc. Show genuine interest in other people. Reach out. Good luck and do have fun. |

You are narrowing your choices ,40. most churches have single groups that meet at church and go out at starbucks and other places, dinners, trips to museum. And then they introduce you their friends. Cultivate those you are most interested in. |

Hi...
You could consider joining a gym, taking a class such as karate, or whatever you're interested in... you might consider volunteer work somewhere....with people or animals, perhaps? it depends upon your interests.
Some communities have "singles" groups, too.. you might want to check to see if yours does.. these are not necessarily for dating only! These groups plan day trips and events like picnics and dances so that singles can get together and mingle. You might meet someone in a situation like this, or meet someone through a member?
You could get involved with your community, too...
If you have single friends, or coworkers who get together and do things (dinner after work, or weekend activities) maybe you could join them?
I have known two people who used EHarmony on line dating. It's available for a fee, and i think people who pay must be serious about finding someone... they give intensive personality evaluations and that would be one online service which might be legit... my two friends found very nice people to date... and both met compatible "partners" i might add... one couple is engaged after two years. so it's an option for someone who is busy. you can go to the site and look at it, if nothing else?
In the meantime, perhaps you could fill your spare time with hobbies and doing things you enjoy with family or friends when you can.
i wish you all the best. |

Were you married? In a very long term relationship? If so, give yourself time to get over your previous relationship. Learn who you are as a person again. Once you know who you are, then you can begin to figure out what you are looking for in another person. |

sometimes finding new people happens when you least expect it/change up your schedule and do different things, dont hang out with other married people/go downtown to the art institute or museums to meet someone who may have similar interests/join a cooking class- |

Try meeting people doing the activities that you do enjoy. That way at least you know you'll both have something in common. If you like to read, go to the library. Go to grocery store and ask a woman that interest you about a certain brand of food and strike up a conversation. Take a walk in the park or go to the movies and if you see a woman alone ask to join her. Friends, family and work are other good sources. A lot of cities have activities and clubs just for singles...join a class. Whatever you do, make sure you get out and mingle and socialize. She's not going to walk up to your front door. |

pick activeties that you like and have an open mind into trying new things when you start having fun just living then you will attract women that will want to spend time with you. If you are just looking for women then the search will be ten times harder than when you are not really looking. I hope this makes since it did to me when my dad explained it to me |
