There's this really shy guy, who's still in high school and a couple of years younger than me, that I really like. I'm pretty sure that he likes me too, but he's so darn shy, and I think he's really too much of a pushover to initiate. Should I make the first move? I don't want to wait anymore.

By the way, he's 16 (almost 17 though!), and I am 21.

He's still a kid, and you're an adult of legal drinking age (in the US). Go for dudes at least 18 or up and let the kids finish being kids. ☺ |

Normally I would say just make the first move, because you can't spend your life waiting around for someone else to make things happen. You are responsible for your happiness. BUT in this case I would say don't. Your ages mentally at this point in life are kind of far apart, it wouldn't be a big deal if you were 10 years older. Also I believe you may get yourself into legal trouble or end up in jail depending on your local laws. |

You should definately make the first move if he is to shy..I mean, what is there to lose? If he is not interested, then look on the bright side, you wont be wasting your time liking this guy and chasing after him anymore.
Flirt and ask him to hang out sometime like its casual...for instance
"Hey you know we never hang out that much...We should hang out sometime"

Make a gesture to him, like, "when can we get together sometime" or let him know that you are interested in him by telling him if he would consider taking you out to dinner sometime. If that doesn't work, yes, tell him you like him and that you would like to get to know him better. You only live once my dear!! Go for it!!!! |
