my father's cousin has been having an affair for the last 20 years or so, they have one child, she's 26 and lives elsewhere now. It is with his wife's best friend, his wife and her are so close (obvisouly not as well as she thought). So he knows his wife will never catch him. I only found out a few weeks ago when I seen them together, down a lane close to my house in a car (clearly he doesn't care, because if he did he wouldn't do anything so close to home). I haven't been able to speak to him since, I'm disgusted at what he's doing.
Apparently the rest of my family have known about it for years. I feel so sorry for her, she's very nice. My uncle says as far as he knows the wife has no idea, because surely she would have left him by now if she did know.
I told him that she should be told, but my uncle says blood is thicker than water and that as he's practically my family that I shouldn't do it, it's right about that part but she has a right to know at the same time.
I don't know what to do.

A - their daugther is 26, their 30th marraige anniversary is at the end of this year.

You are in a dilemma. Could his wife support herself with out the support of her "husband"?
The reason he thinks he will not be caught is that his wife tells her best friend everything, so they always know where she is and what she is doing.
Maybe you should talk to your pastor or A pastor about the situation. You did not say how old you were, and if you are a youth, you should not be the person that tells his wife. However, she should be told. Do the adults in your family not care enough about her to tell her what a a*s hole her husband is?
Blood thicker than water? He is NOT your blood or blood you want. Find an adult to break the news, but at that time, there should be supporting people with her to help her with this Horrible information.

Stay out of it,, My guess would be the wife already knows something about it, and chooses to ignore her cheating husband,, Maybe to hold the marriage together, Or possibly maybe she's got something going on , on her own,,I feel would be best for all involved if you'd just stay out of it and mind your own business |

Tell the guy that you seen him with the other woman and that you lost all your respect for him and that he needs to do the right thing, and let it go after that. For all you know the wife may know about it and just don't care anymore and she has accepted the fact of the relationship or she is okay with a open marriage with him, what ever, you have let him know, same as the rest of the family. |
