The only reason it wouldn't be a good idea is right in your question. If you expected her to "change her lifestyle" then you're headed for disaster ... and frankly it doesn't matter that she is a stripper -- it is your attitude that she has to change. If she was a lawyer and you wanted her to change YOU would be just as wrong.

My buddy married a stripper 4 years ago and he seems happy. She still strips though. It would take someone far better than I to make something like that work.

depends some of them are really nice you can even tell if they are a dancers or not.they just doing it for money not for fun and because usually it pays allot more than regular job.$600.00 to $1000.00 . we shouldn't discriminate them because of that and we should never call them in that name.

If you find and love one, and are not only willing to accept what she does, but can handle the emotional issues that might arrise, then it isn't a bad idea. There will have to be a very strong trust between the both of you though.

i would, they make good money and i bet they don't turn a lot of the tips into the i.r.s. its no big deal for other people to look at her privates as she dances, she is doing her job. she should be socking some of the money away into a 401k or just to buy a house. i'd say go for it.

I know a women who stripped all the way through Uni and is now a very successful bussiness. Owns her own company and two houses and does alot of community work.

IT IS NOT A GOOD IDEA FOR THE REASONS YOU MENTIONED.BUT ONE MAY HAVE CHANGE OF IDEAS AND SITUATIONS AND MAY WISH TO GIVE UP STRIPPING AND LEAD A DECENT LIFE AND MAY GET MARRIED.

Wow...that's really a loaded one and I'm not going to tell you how I know the answer to this one...let's just say it's because I'm brilliant. That said, the general consensus is that strippers have the IQ of a throw rug and that for the most part is a fairly true statement. That said, I can't wait to hear the proper elocution of all the strippers who are going to answer this question as well as bash the hell out of me...anyway, moving on... The stereotypical stripper is one who has little if any education, doesn't carry herself properly in social settings and can pack for an entire month in one tiny sholderbag. That said, this type of woman would NOT be the type to bring home to mom. However, there are some strippers and former strippers who are educated, bright, have a sense of humor, are or would be wonderful parents and would be an asset as a wife. These women would be those white elephants, if you will. Perhaps the one who was for a time in the profession in order to say, support a child while at the same time attending law school at UF, maybe? Yes, this one would most likely make a wonderful wife. So long as she doesn't still go by the name, "Miss Sticky Bunns" or "Miss Rosie Cheeks."

I am a married stripper with two kids. I am attending school, majoring in biology. I have danced for 5 years and when I met my husband I was a dancer. Is it hard YES. But with love and trust its like no other job. Now I work in a state where we can't show much so I can't speek for every one, but I can say it keeps me in shape, helps my family live comfortably, and before i took this job i never thought i could go to school, work full time and have time with my kids. I can't say i love my job but i can say there are good girls working in this industry. Just be careful.
