The right answer is no. Although the right answer is not always the easiest. Before you cross a barrier that can never be returned to ask yourself a few questions.
1. Why are you looking to take on this new lover?
2. What does the new lover offer that your current lover does not?
3. Can you live with the fact that you will be a cheater?
4. Do you love your significant other?
5. Would you want them to do it to you?
If you can answer all of these honestly and it does not bother you then go for it. On the other hand if a sweat breaks out on your brow and you get really uncomfortable, then maybe some other options would be worth looking into. Such as counseling, making time with your significant other. Hope you make the right decision. Either way you have to live with the consequences.

no, no no and no. I had an affair and it's the only regret i have ever had. I was 22 got married young and felt alone. i just got remarried at 30 and i am crazy about my husband and vice versa, i can't even imagine cheating on him i just really did my homework this time round...If your unhappy LEAVE. If that's not an option and children are involved try and stay until they're 18. If your husband is unhappy as well maybe discuss it and stay and have a mutual misunderstanding. i hope this helps a bit.

Is it okay to lie to someone you have sworn yourself to, in front of the law and your god of choice? No.

If you do the former without breaking the later... go for it, open marriages can work, though they normally don't for lack of realitic expectations and planning.

If you are in a bad marriage, get a divorce. Otherwise, honor your commitment.

If you are seriously considering this because of problems at home, talk to your husband, just tell him how you feel. How he responds will help you decide what to do.

If you are considering this because of an infatuation, take a deep breath and step back. I you really love this new person and they really love you, you can both wait till the divorce is final or you at least have a seperation.
