We joke at our house that our boy cat is my boyfriend. He'll jump up in bed when my husband goes to the bathroom in the middle of the night, and curl up in the warm spot. My husband will come back and I tell him that he has been replaced. I usually hear a grunt from my husband and the sound of a cat being summarily removed.

No, its not OK to have a boyfriend, too. You get married to spend the rest of your life with one person. It's a commitment to each others life. Not to mention, having a boyfriend on the side shows a total lack of self respect.

It is okay to have a friend that is a guy, and in fact might be useful to ask advice to... just make sure you dont get too personal with them.. and also make sure they know where you stand. dont mislead them. remember its your job to pretect your marriage first and foremost. dont do anything to jeopardize it. If you start falling for this guy, then by every right you should break the marriage off and go with him, one or the other. but you should try and avoid situations that would lead to the chance for the marriage to fail in the first place.

Maybe your question should be is it OK for you to tell your friend to not have this set-up? It's none of your business, really. You have your morals and your friend obviously has hers. You do not know what goes on behind that marriage's closed doors. I suggest you stay out of it.
