when u want to end something with someone the last thing u would do is remain friends with that person because it will just start up again and again. if she meant nothing to him he would simply cut her out of his life for good instead of wanting to be friends.

He sure doesn't feel like the foolish pig that he is. Tell him to quit chasing her since she's cut him out of her life. He needs to show some guilt and remorse and he's sure not doing it this way. It really doesn't matter how he feels about her anymore...how does he really feel about you? Are you going through all these feelings just to find he's still catting around on you? Make sure he knows you mean business and this is the only wake up call you'll make. Either he fully commits to you and shows it or you have to leave.

In order for you to stay together he must cut off ALL contact with her, and be a complete open book with you. He cannot stay 'mates' with her thats just ridiculous, and if he sees her because he works nearby, then he should look for another job.

He must prove to you that he WANTS to work it out otherwise it will never work.

He had a whole other relationship with this woman. WHY does he need to be friends with her? WHY would you allow it? If he tried to get back with her AFTER you caught him, yes he will cheat again, with the same woman.
He has lost total respect for you and your marriage by stepping out and carrying on with someone else for an entire year. And now you are going to disrespect yourself by staying with him?

Your husband is not repentant- he cannot be just friends with someone he defiled his marriage with and it's inconceiveable that he would even go there. You have been working on forgivness and he is still playing the game. Guard your heart and your financial assets and start making some decisions for your future. I don't know about "once a cheat, always a cheat", but he definitely doesn't sound trustworthy. So, from that perspective, you are right not to trust him. If you want to try and save the relationship, you are risking getting hurt again.

No he should not have a friendship with her. Sounds to me he still wants to be mates with her. Get marriage counseling, pray about it with him, or deal with it. I'm sorry you're going through this.

the once a cheat not always a cheat has no merit, its not individual, people have affairs for reasons...symptom of marital disharmony.If both can talk about it equally and if you trust his word to be true and both can make it better...good luck. As for friends...no way...it doesnt work
