My aunt married a man and he has a son by another women I know we aren't blood related, but is that wrong for us to get involved with each other....we really like each other!

Legally, you can, but what happens if the relationship goes sour? the two of will you will still be invited to family events, what then? hope you wont then blame the family for not taking your side by not inviting him. It can get complicated later. Dont do it. |

That sounds like my family. And no, we are not from West Virginia.
On one side of my family, my cousin married his SIL's sister. Their children have the same 4 grandparents. It's fine.
On the other side of my family, Uncle Tommy married Gail. Gail had several daughters. Gail's daughter Diane married Tommy's brother Jim. Gail's daughter Michelle married Tommy's nephew Bill. Since Jim and Bill were not biologically related to Diane and Michelle, there was nothing wrong with it...it just makes for an unusual story and family tree. |

There isn't anything wrong with it... just make sure that it isn't just a fling or something to do to pass the time. Distance makes it easier to move on if the relationship ends. |

I'd stay away from it personally, just to avoid conflict with the family. But if everyone is ok with it. Sure, I guess. |

Yes, you can date him legally. However, I wouldn't do it. When it doesn't work out (and it probably won't), then you will still need to see him at every family event for the rest of your life. Date some other guy. |

If the step cousin has no problem with it, go for it. There is no legal problem with it, and the only potential dilemma will be if you get married, how does your Aunt and Uncle answer the question in the church "Bride or Groom's family?" |

Since your not blood related it shouldn't be a problem. However in the case that the relationship doesn't last, it can cause alot of friction at family gatherings. |

it isnt illegal since you arent blood related, but emotionally you are kind of related, so it makes it wrong
