Its appropriate and healthy to have friendships of both genders regardless of marital status. Girl-guy friendships are more challenging when one of them enters into a relationship or marriage, but its workable and worth it. Just be 100% that its about being friends-if not, your lying to yourself, your spouse, and the girl. |

Well ideally your wife should also be your friend. But if you have a friend who is female it should be okay as long as it adds to your marriage and is not taking away from it. I have male friends and I am a married woman. |

Hell No! My girlfriend and I sit in her tub and talk for hours on end...and my husband is right there with us, but he sits on the counter. Course we've been married 10 years...nothings shocking anymore. |

A friend, no....more than a friend, most definitely wrong. Just don't cross the line. |

No, but be cautious. Too much information can be perceived as making a move on someone. |

Technically, no.
In reality......if your intentions were not wrong then you would not need to ask the question. :) |

Friend or lover? I have a lot of female friends, but nothing my wife doesn't know about. If you have a female friend just don't hide it and make sure it is all above board, just friends no flirting and you will be fine. |

Well, depends on what you want her for. I don't know any wives that would be comfortable with that situation. It is inviting trouble. Almost every affair starts with one thing, commiseration. It is two people putting their heads together and discussing their problems. Don't go there, not unless you want to go to heartbreak hotel and divorce court too. |

no i dont think so but its hard for men and women just to be only friends. |

That would all depend on the relationship really, and if you are going out and meeting NEW females. Talk to your wife about it... think about how you would feel if she had male friends. Best thing to do is talk to her first, see what she would be comfortable with ect. No need on messing up a marriage for something so small |

Is it wrong? No. But it's not about right or wrong. You are married now and you don't get to choose your friends, male or female. Your old friends don't fit into your spouses idea of proper acquaintances, let alone friends. Her friends are hers and she'll tell you who your friends are. Usually the only acceptable friend for you is your spouse. |

Female friends are okay with me; that's only fair since some of my friends are male. My husband keeps in touch with a couple female friends who he's known longer than he's known me. As long as he doesn't neglect me for them or act all secretive about them, it's all good. Your mileage may vary. |

No, so long as you don't prioritize her above your wife. |

not if you are only friends with the other woman. if you cheat with that woman then it is wrong but if you are just friends then it is cool. |

men and women can just be friends

Depends on what you mean by "friend!" It is PERFECTLY healthy to have friends outside of your marriage. You need time to socialize, have new conversations, and express yourself in ways that you may not be able to with your significant other. If you mean having a "girlfriend" on the side, as long as your man is ok, why not! Things tend to get stale and boring when you see the same person every day and talk about the same things every day. It doesn't mean that you love your husband less, you just need to have some "you" time. Good Luck! |

It's not wrong as long as you don't have an affair. |

If by "female friend" you mean "friend with benefits", then yes, of course that's wrong. You're married. You've committed to one person and you shouldn't have done that if you weren't ready to be with that one person forever. |
