Yes, it is wrong to lie.
You need to tell her as soon as possible because if she finds out, it's just going to hurt the relationship further. If you tell her now, of course she's going to be upset but she'll be happy you were honest about it.
Be sure to be sinscere about it and let her know that you are extremely sorry. Do something nice for her.
