Is my Dad cheating on ym mom with an 18 year old?!?

Well my brother use to date this girl and she was having family trouble at home so he invited her to stay here. At first she slept in his room with him in there. Next we found letters to my dad from her saying all this stuff about them playing with each other. They denied it and all that now she is not allowed to go in his room ever. Then he practically follows her around everywhere. He talks to her more then he talks to me, his daughter. About one hour ago I went into the living room where she was suppose to be to find my cat. She was not there. So I went back into my room. A couple minutes ago I heard his door open, I went out there again to look for my cat, she was laying down and he was doing something right next to her and when he saw me, he quickly moved away. I asked him if my cat was in his room, he said he wasn;t in his room to see if she was. So what do you think?

Not to be mean or anything but I dont care if my dad gets kicked out. Everybody knows since the letters were found out. My mom does not kick him out because he has nowhere to go. But until we get "Evidence" she is just watching.

Ya know you sound as if everyone knows pretty much he is cheating... And My guess is that he is and you all are waiting for him and her too get caught someday!

MMMM well if ya truely want him out or her out, then give them enough time they will get caught and if you really need proof of it then do you own a video camera? I would say he is cheating....

Oh my dear, I hear the pain in your question.

Sadly there is nothing much you can do. I know that many will tell you to tell your mum but unfortunately that may just be the wrong thing to do. It will most likely cause a rift between either your mum or dad. Your mum may believe you in which case you loose your dad, or she doesn't in which case you loose your mum.

You parents need to sort this one out ASAP between themselves.

You sound quite young, so, is there a school guidance officer you can talk to. Remember they are trained youth counsellors. Alternatively a church youth pastor. In Australia we also have a kids help line 1800 55 1800 that young people can call up anytime for free.

You need someone to talk to but please remember its your parents problem, not yours. Sadly you are a victim of the fall out because of their behaviour. Be there for your mum, especially when she needs you the most.

If she asks you why you didn't tell her prior to this I would suggest you show her this response i.e. do a screen dump and save it to a word doc.
