Is my marriage legal?

when i was 18 i changed my first name by deed pole. but i was only using it for a few years then started using mr Original  name. i got married at the age of 32 and by this time forgot i had changed my name and married in my original first name. does this make my married above board and legal?

nope, your name was legally changed so you had to get married in that name

"Can I use my old name as well?

Changing your name by deed poll means that you will completely revoke the use of your former name and will at all times thereafter use only your new name as shown on your deed poll."

Yes It is legal. You definitely have some proofs, in that name.

Yes it does because you cannot change your birth certificate although you changed your name, the paper had to be stapled to your birth certificate to override it but your birth certificate will always state who you are not what you chose to be called. Dont worry you are legal.

Didnt you have to give your birth certificate and social security card when you got married? Im sure your marriage is legal but to be 100% sure you can check with the county clerks office of the county you were married in.
