My sister has a fiance, she thought she could convert herself to Judaism but she can't and she doesn't anymore she says "I love Christ" and other stuff like that. She now says that she might break-off the engagement, she doesn't want to have an broken yoke or something like that, but you can't really hear people when they are crying.

No, she's not doing a bad thing. Jesus stated quite clearly not to be "unqually yoked" i.e. marry non-Christians, for two cannot be one while serving two masters. Man and wife were meant to be spiritual partners, to motivate and uplift each other, to have a special kind of fellowship. Your sister realized that she would be lacking in something that matters very much to her, and that she would be choosing a man over the God she loves most. I admire her for her strength, and God will recognize her sacrifice. |

smart girl! Besides if you gain the whole world but loose your life what good is that She is picking Christ first and sacrificing her own happiness to please him. Thats commendable and honorable especially in thsi day and time when so many are so selfish. I don't think she will loose her real reward for this after all isn't that what really matters! My husband and i are different religions he is seventh day adventist and i'm baptist. He goes to church on sat I always listen to him but there are still some things i'm sad over that i think he doesn't realize about hell and all that but we are making it wrok It is very difficult though. Everything is permissible but not everything is benificial. |

She has to follow her own heart...and it sounds like her heart belongs to Christ. It's very courageous and extremely wise of her to break off the engagement before they marry and have problems that, unless one person changes their own beliefs for the other person (highly unlikely), will surely lead to divorce. |
