i have a friend who is married but her and her husband are seperated. Throughout the process she started dating another guy and got pregnant by him. is it true that she can not name her baby after the biological father because she is still legally married? Or can she still name the baby after the father but get a divorce once she gives birth??? serious answers ONLY!!!
P.s. the husband doesnt know shes pregnant because her grounds of wanting a divorce are in abandonment...

BTW...lets make it clear...i never said she wasnt going to get a divorce...She just wants to know when she have her baby (which is in a few weeks)and her divorce isnt final, is it true that she has to name the baby with her husbands last name..or after him..? Thats is the question...all the extra please keep it to yourself..people make mistakes..no one is perfect!! if you dont know the answer..plz be so kind as to skip this question...again I'll state SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY!!!!!

I believe she can list the bio father on the birth certificate and use his last name. A call to the appropriate records dept (county clerk, etc.) might yield an answer. |

She can name her baby whatever she wants to. My husband and I had 2 children and named their last name my husbands father's last name (we had his ex-step fathers last name at the time). |

Uhh...Yeah she should probably get a divorce. I don't think he's gonna want to stay with her after he finds out. If she is still married when the baby is born,she can't name it after the father. |
