Is your husband a police officer?

My husband wants to be a police officer after he gets his Bachelor's and I was wondering what life is like with a husband who works in law enforcement?

If he works the road there will be worry about what if something was to happen. I was engaged to one for 3 years we lived together. He did get hurt once he was taking someone down his knee got screwed up in the first place.
Life is pretty much normal for the most part. I am now married to a guy who is active duty and with the deployments and all the stress that is involved seems like it was none of that when I was with my ex. My ex worked normal hours sometimes he had to stay late if he picked up a dui or something of that sort. But other then that he had set hours and normal set days off every week. That was pretty cool.

I know of a lot of police officers personally but am not married to one. First of all you have to get used to him working long hours in a very stressful job and never knowing whether he is in a stressful, potentially harmful situation. There will be a lot of things he won't tell you because they are just too ugly. (Hey I am in a big city!).
