My husband and I separated 6 months ago. He moved to another state. He is in the military. He does not pay child support. We have a lot of debt due to him taking out loans, buying vehilces, etc..without my knowlege. He said he will pay all the bills minus my one credit card that he racked up in lieu of child support. I stayed home with the kids. I have a gotten a job since the separation but will be getting laid off in a month. I plan to go to college so that I can get a better job. He got his degree while we were married. The state the paperwork will be filed in is Alaska, a 50/50 state. I had to sign away my rights to our house when he took out the loan, the two cars we have he bought without my knowledge, the 25000 dollar loan we have was taken out without my knowledge. We have one loan for 6000 that is in both of our names. He used that money to pay for his lawyer when he was being court martialed by the military. I cannot afford a lawyer. I am wondering if I will end up with 50 percent of these bills even though he makes three times as much as I do,and when the paperwork is filed I will be going to college and collecting minimal unemployment.

Go see his commander in the military and tell him everything. They will set him straight fast. The military is very strict when it comes to things like that. |
