I feel just the opposite. I have lived my vows through two hard years of drinking and mental illness. I heard a sad story of a woman who lost her husband and realized that would be much easier than how I'm living.
I know this is how it's supposed to work, but no false sentimentality from me. |

I can't recall what my vows were, something about something and whatever ring exchange and kissy kissy. Times are good in my marriage. We stay together because we promised we would and we make an effort to be happy together because not being happy is crap, but that was long before the ceremony and party.
