Marriage certificate to be issued in haryana for a marriage taking place in delhi?

Hello All,

I am a resident of haryana, India and working for last 2 yrs outside India. I am getting married in delhi and want to issue marriage certificate from haryana. Will it be a problem because marriage takes place in delhi? I have a name in rashan card .

In how many days can I get the marriage certificate and what all documents will be needed. As per my knowledge date of birth proof for both husband and wife and proof of residence are needed.

Any help in this regard will be very helpful.

Neither Party is resident of delhi . I am fearing to get it registered in delhi because it may get delayed there as none of us are resident there.

If you are getting married in Delhi then get Marriage Registered in Delhi & get a Valid Marriage Certificate from Delhi itself, why you seek it from Haryana, where half the Haryana government officials have sent their grey matter (brain) on long term leave & other half have no grey matter (Brain).

Marriage can be Registered in Delhi if that is being Solemnized there, you have to have proof of the marriage in the form of Photographs, Wedding Card, Official receipt/contract (duly stamped & signed) of the banquet hall where the wedding function is being arranged/took place & one witness with PAN card. If either of the party to the marriage is resident of Delhi he/she should have proof of residence (Voter's card, Ration card, Passport, Rent/lease deed duly attested by the First Class Magistrate), in such case the marriage can be Registered at the District where this person/party resides or resided at the time of marriage.

In case neither of the party is residing or has residence proof of Delhi, then, if the marriage was Solemnized in Delhi, it can be registered in the District where this was done. The Registrar of Marriages cannot refuse to Register the marriage if that took place in Delhi just for the reason that neither of party are resident of Delhi. After all High Court of Delhi had by its Order of 11/10/2006, Struck down the condition as ultra vire & unconstitutional "one of the parties or his/her parent is residing within the jurisdiction of the Registrar, for more than thirty days".
The Court further held that the parties whose marriage was solemnized in Delhi whether or not the parties to marriage or their parents are residents of Delhi or not can get the Marriage Registered in Delhi.

We married in a place (out of maharashtra) where none of us were living.(it was here chcha's city ) ,but i got it registered in my city in maharashtra.It took one month as it was not celebrated in my city.So they place a notice for a month and then furnished certificate to us.
So surely u can get it from where any of TWO of u has ration card.(for example if your wife was resident of tamilnadu then u cant also file from tamilnadu ,as well as haryana).
remember they will seek presence and photo of both of you
