I know who I am but it took a while.
I married someone who was comfortable with me keeping my hobbies and doing what I like, having a career, and he does his thing as well. I didn't lose myself, I gained someone who is a partner. I don't constantly take care of him, he can cook his own food if he can't wait. lol |

this answer comes to me very easily,...after so long living your life for other's, "maintaining" a sense of "myself" left a long time ago, any part of me, is no longer existant. |

No. I'm fairly headstrong though and do my own thing. My husband and I have some separate hobbies, we both spend time together and just one on one with our little boy. We have very different jobs (he a computer engineer and I am a marketing coordinator) so really there is no place I could lose myself.
I think I could see to some degree how that could happen perhaps if I was a stay at home mom so I didn't have as much of an outside life. |

Yeah, I know what you mean. Mskes me wonder sometime what would have happened if we never married but I guess all people wonder that from time to time. After all these years, he still has great qualities that make me a better person. |

Not at all. One of the most important thing is not letting a relationship take over your whole identity.
It is important to have your own hobbies and interests and sense of independence whilst being in a relationship, but also learning to come together as a team. |
