I'm 23 and have been married for about 2 years. Right now all I want to do is party and have fun, but my wife wants to start a family. I am not even close to ready for that, I think i want to be able to go out and hook up with random girls and experience that side of life, what are your thoughts?

Well i know that all of you say "I should not have ask for marriage" but I thought that was what I wanted at the time. We are now going down two different paths now. I thought she still wanted to be a "young adult".

You married before you were ready to do so. Don't compound this mistake this by having children you don't want. If you do you will pay child support for 18 years after your wife tires of your selfish and immature behavior.
Too bad you didn't do your hooking up when you should have instead of marrying when you should not have. |

A "young adult"?? What does that mean? Hooking up with random girls?....you should have experienced that before you got married little boy!
Partying is not worth the risk. On the other hand, maybe you married the wrong girl and you don't want to have children with your wife?? There always is much more to the story, I should know, I wrote the book (or could have...) |

You should have thought of this before you made a commitment for life.Now you will get to pay a lawyer for something you promised some one that you wanted but you don't now. You were tooooo young and you made a mistake. You will now pay for it in many ways. At least you dont have kids. |

You are not missing anything out there. You go hooking up with random gals you may pick up some random STD's. You could even wind up with some random un wanted children too. You are old enough to have grown up, but you better think about what you have right now and work on keeping it. |

See your the perfect one for all of these kids who think they are in love and wanna get married because they just love each other so so much and have to get married instead of waiting like you should have. I know we all make mistakes but I'm sure some where down the road there was an adult who told you to wait for marriage..That's called experience they knew what the out come would be next time listen and learn.....Sorry but I do not feel sorry for you.. |

I'm 23 and have been married for almost 4 years. I know my husband feels like you sometimes. Heck, even I do sometimes. But you have to remember that you made a commitment when you married your wife. There are always compromises you guys can make to help your relationship. I'm sure she wouldn't mind you going out once a week or so and having fun. In return, I don't think that hooking up with other girls is totally necessary for you to have a good time. If you really feel like you NEED to hook up with another girl, then you should express that to your wife and prepare for a divorce (my guess is she won't be too happy about it). |

Leave her, do what you need to do and see if she will accept you back after it all. She may, however find someone who will appreciate the life she wants in the meantime.
