Match.com and Eharmony etc. Are they worth the time?

I met my husband on Match.com lol

However, a friend of ours recently joined up and said that he had lots of emails and contact from dodgy people. You know the ones that are always on the talk shows, they tell you everything you want to hear, you're beautiful etc then ask for money!

I think if you're smart about it, it is a fun way to meet people. My husband and I met up after about 3 weeks of chatting online and have never looked back - so it does work for some. I would definitely meet up sooner rather than later, you get much more of a feel for a person face to face than sitting typing to one another.

There are plenty of horror stories too - so make sure you keep your eyes open and learn to read between the lines.

absolutely, it works! i went on eharmony last July and met the love of my life in 2 weeks. He's absolutely amazing and everything I ever wanted in a man and relationship. I'm a big fan of eharmoney but don't have any experience with any of the others. The main thing to remember is don't be judgmental! At first, I wasn't going to talk to anyone who didn't have any pictures up, but after about a day I changed my mind and thank god I did. I would've never met my faceless man if I'd kept that rule. Also, BE HONEST!! It's completely worth a try. Good luck!

I recently got separated and went onto EHarmony.com and there are some pretty handsome guys on there. You might want to get on one of these sites just to see if there is a match for you out there.
Just give yourself some time to date and play the field.

one of my dearest friends just met the man of her dreams on eharmony. they are ADORABLE together. its worth a shot. sure there are a few weirdos on any dating site but hey there are a lot more in real life HAHA. good luck.

waste of time,,, take your time and heal up, anything now would be a rebound and it wouldnt be fair to someone that likes u then u realize that your feelings r tender and ur not ready for romance, i wouldnt even be in a hurry to find anyone,, let nature takes it course, your feelings and emotions are gonna be on super high intensity for awhile. the emotional rollercoaster is gonna have you wore out and confused, but thats your brains defense in getting you rebooted and back to health and happiness once again, take your time and i wish u all the luck in the world.

Take some time for you first. Then start going to the dating sites. You will have a better idea of who you are searching for. Eharmony is a good site it has been successful in match ups but it is also very expensive.

I used Singlesnet.com, because it was free for women. I knew exactly what I wanted ( a kind, serious, intelligent, man who would accept me as I am) and I didn't exchange photos because I'm not shallow and I didn't want a man who wanted me based on my appearance. I get hit on daily, but I didn't want that man. I wanted the man who wanted me for my intelligence and my capacity for love.
