Its May 4th, the thirty ninth anniversary of students being gunned down by the Ohio National Guard at Kent State University.
Four dead in Ohio.
It is a day which I always pause to remember that we are not as free as the government would like us to believe.
Although antiwar sentiment was on every ones mind the major protest was "Pigs off Campus".
In response to civil disobedience students were gunned down by a military contingent using M1 rifles against unarmed students. The dead were at least 70 yards away from the guns. I cannot throw a baseball that far much less the rocks that were supposed to have been thrown.
Let them who pulled those triggers sleep well in the knowledge that they were involved in the ultimate oppression.
The killing of unarmed citizens for resiting the oppression of the government. All the while supporting their actions with false patriotism and "Love it or Leave it" bumper stickers.
Do what you're told or get out.

It would be those same type people who antigovernment posture with teabags for Fox News now. Maybe they should have shot a few of those anti government types.
