In my experience, the bestway to spice things up is to start before you get to the bedroom. Here's a never fail example:

Go to dinner, and wear a nice, flattering dress. When you get there, excuse yourself to the ladies room and remove your undergarments. Don't say anything about it, but give him various peaks and smiles through dinner. Things will be VERY steamey when you finally get alone.
