Actually, yes I do. And I have a couple friends from here that I do just that with. Yeah it is nice to have an "untarnished" woman's opinion on things.

I have female friends just to talk to. I am married, and am not looking for an affair. I have female friends at work too.

Your question is actually quite an interesting one. You certainly can be friends with a woman online and not want to see her nude or have relations with her. Communicating online has taken leaps and bounds these days. and there are all kinds of relationships formed online from love all the way to friends and business. As in real life it all depends on the place and context online where you talk. I know some guys who have girls that are friend online to talk to because they feel they can ask them personal questions (about relationships or otherwise) that they don't feel comfortable asking in person. Social networking is big now a days. It all depends on what the conversations are about. There are lots of guys who myspace, twitter, or facebook with girls that are strictly friends. Often its quicker, doesn't use any cell phone minutes, can post links, share pictures, music, etc., and more often checked so many people prefer to talk online. With that in mind there will always be those that have some "intentions." We always like to assume the worse, but not everyone is like that. Again, online communication is huge now and just one of the many ways we choose to talk with each other.

I must be the odd man out. My only female friends share a common interest. Either I know them from work or club sports or they are dating/married to someone I know. It wouldn't be fair to my wife to have female friends online. I'd eventually want to nail them or them me. That's the way it works for healthy, active, attractive guys. But if you are homely, maybe it isn't such a big deal.

I do have real female friends though, with women who I know I won't sleep with or receive nude pics from.

I've looked for male friends online, just to be friends with. It hard to find any that are just in it for friendship.
