Mother Not Respecting Our Household?

My mother is trying to throw me for a guilt trip because this is the 10th [literally] time I told her she has to respect my house. My brother who is 24 isn't even supposed to be on my private property but he sleeps in her car because he's homeless. He's gotten kicked out of three other peoples homes [family] and she got mad at me because I told her if she doesn't mind him disrespecting my house then she should find a apartment for both of them. She told me "f__ck you and I don't care if you ever love me." she said other hurtful things and I just want to know why I'm being treated this way. My two brothers were in and out of trouble in the past and I haven't been in any. My oldest brother is still doing dumb things to put HIS own life and since he sleeps in my mothers car on my property [the house was handed down to me by my father] he's putting my husband, four month old daughter and MOTHER'S life in danger. I don't know what else to do.

We found weed residue in my fiances old car [my brother was in there smoking.] He has Multiple Sclerosis and makes excuses for him saying, "He doesn't know what he's doing." She's a nursing assistant and she said she doesn't make enough right now to get her own place. But I know that's not true.

Well seems like you are trying to do the right thing but your family comes 1st especially a 4 month old little girl! So if your Mom feels that way about him she too can leave and live in the car but as for your house and property it is your way or the highway period. I don't know why the "good" kids tend to get punished while the "black sheep" of the family get put on a pedestal with excuses made for them. I don't get it either. However, you can sit down with your Mom and work out a budget and she can support your brother and herself. In the meantime, perhaps she can help you with the bills- $200 a month or something. Then she can also use that money to put your brother somewhere like rehab or something. This is too much for you and your family to handle though. There is more to life. You might have to be the bad guy and cut the strings but once they get it together on their own they should be more appreciative of you. In the meantime think about your daughter, you are her source and if you are tied down to all this mess then you are not going to be able to give her 100%.

Give mama the boot! Sorry to say it but that's just ridiculous. She needs to find her own place, there are cheap apartments out there. It's doable. She's mad at you probably because she has no one else to put the blame on and God forbid she looks at herself in the mirror. She's enabling your brother and putting your family in a bad situation.

We had my grandmother living with us when I was younger and she was a complete witch to everyone in our house. I haven't seen or spoken to her in 15 years (neither has my mother) and we don't plan on it. She has treated all her children like crap and ALL of them have kicked her out of their homes.

Do what's best for your family. I have 3 kids now and would never let something like this go on in my home. You'd be doing the right thing, in my opinion.

tell your mother to get a grip and to leave. call the cops to come get your brother the weed magnet. tell your other brothers to go away, you have a child to raise.

this is too much drama. my honest advice is to up and move and don't contact anyone in your family ever again. Your family sounds toxic. Your baby will thank you to move up and out. Please do. I know it's scary, but you can do it. This sounds like some kind of poor, trashy, Jerry Springer style, nightmare family. Your baby is priority.
