Women are CHEERFULLY stepping up ad taking the head of family position, mocking their husbands in the process.

The man doesn't HAVE to be and in many cases are not. The man is supposed to be the stronger of the two, thus make the critical decisions. They usually share otherwise. Also, women usually are lousy at finances. |

Of course. However, there is a technical definition of "head of the family" especially in taxation which means the spouse who brings in the income. Aside from that, the designation "head of the family" usually means who between the spouses has the last word when it comes to decision making. This really depends on the set up of your marriage whether "traditional" (dad is king) or an "equal" marriage wherein mom has equal say in things. |

She can if she's a single parent or just single. If your married, then he has props, but you can always say that you stand besides a good man. If he's good. The bible states that a man is the head. Back in the day, a man would be the one to go out and work in order to provide food, clothing and shelter for the family. The woman would stay home and take care of the children and also the house. In today's society things are changing rapidly. Who knows what the future will hold. |

Yes a man is the head of the family, it is in the Bilbe. I believe that a marriage is better off if theis princioale is followed, I consider my husband as head of my family, but we talk and discuss important issues and come to a decision together. Why can't a woman be the head of the family? Well that would take quite some time for me to explain and I don't have enough room to tell it all, but these days, more and more women are becoming single mothers, therefore being head of thier family. |

in the nuclear family structure - husband, wife, kids. I think it is only natural for men to take that leadership role. Women are more nurturers and supporters. But the Bible did say that the man should be the head. |

There's a strong stigma attached to woman who are heads of their respective families/relationships. Also, women are usually the more docile race. Hah! Ignore that, chin up, and you'd find out soon that it isn't a shameful thing at all to defy stereotypes. |

It depends on what your beliefs are. Most religions believe that the husband is the head of the home and that he is responsible for the family's welfare, although in this modern day and age woman are taking on more of a leadership role in the family. It is more biblical for the husband to be the head of the home but is not a sin if he isnt. |

There can only be one head of the family. If a man and woman are married, then it is the man who is the head. If the woman is single than she is the head of her family. If two people try to be the boss there is sure to be problems. The man would be like a president of the company, and his wife would be like the vice-president working together for one common goal. |

It's supposed to be 50/50 a marriage not a contract with Boss. Both partners should equally share duties and responsibilities within the home. So to answer your question no the man/husband is not always the head of the family. Maybe your hubby needs to get with the new millennium and stop living in the golden ages? |

Absolutely not!! A woman can wear the pants too!! Theres a trick to it, its all about making him BELIEVE he wears the pants, when in fact you do, its kinda like a mind game and keeps both of you happy, I do this to my husband, and he don't even realize it....LOL |
