the funny thing is my best friend prolly still remembers it (i told her about the incident when it happened a year ago). so my question is should i ask my friend to remind me what it was that my bf said that offended me so much or should i just toss it to the wind and forget about it? my bf was in the wrong but never really formally apologized about what he said. he was also upset when i told him that i had shared with my girlfriend the offensive things he said to me, which indicates to me that he felt guilty about what he said and that deep down he knew he was wrong. but even so, he never apologized and we just let the matter slide, it's only now, a year later, that i've realized i had forgotten completely what it was that he said. should i try to remember again?

blondie - i'm asking this question in this category because i am not looking for "kiddy" answers. besides, relationship questions are better answered by married/divorced people anyways because they've most likely been there and done that, as you can tell from all the RELEVANT and HELPFUL answers here that OTHER people (not counting you, obviously) have offered me.

Let it die. If you can't remember maybe that is best. I would give anything if I could forget some of the insensitive things that my husband has said to me. |

no do not revisit that incident. It is unfair to try to ambush him over something he did a year ago.
You need to understand that people, (ALL people), even those who love each other are going to at times be selfish, insensitive, cruel, and a host of other terrible things. Your bf may have done that a year ago, however you worked it out then, no sense in going back through those feelings.
If you are seeking conflict it probably means you are either bored with the relationship, or you are upset over something else and have not been able to identify what is really bothering you. |

That's like picking a scab off of a bad wound that's already healed. Sure if you wanna argue about it and get you and him all pissed off call and ask her. If you want to get on with your life then leave it alone. That's a BAD IDEA don't do it. It didn't hurt you that much or you would remember what it was. The tongue is a mighty sword and can do a whole lot of damage, you'd remember if it was that bad. |

If you can't remember it then it can't have terribly important. Obviously a lot of nice things have happened since then to help you have good feelings toward your boyfriend, otherwise you would remember. Just move on. |
