He is really attractive I don't understand why he would think he is ugly and I'm not just saying that because he is my boyfriend, he is hot... BUT if he thinks he is ugly, does he think I'm ugly because he thinks he wouldn't be able to get a hot girl?

No I don't think he thinks you're ugly. Actually, I think he knows he's good looking, but he's just fishing for compliments. Perhaps he doesn't have enough self confidence and needs re-assurance? |

No, he probably thinks you're attractive and he's not good enough for you. Maybe you need to do something drastic like get mad at him (maybe even slap him) for being so ridiculous. Show him you absolutely cannot understand why he thinks he's unattractive. |

Alternatively, it could also be that he thinks you're so hot that he doesn't deserve you and he feels unattractive by comparison.
So I don't think his lack of self-confidence indicates anything about how you look to him. I don't think your boyfriend's method of fishing for compliments is great, but maybe his lack of self-confidence is real. All you can do is try telling him that you think he's hot, show that you're attracted to him by giving him affection, and try to emphasize other qualities in your relationship other than just appearances. How well you get along matters a great deal more. |
