He was seeing her for about a year, I busted them this year, she then went on holiday, and despite him calling her (twice) when she was at the airport (departing not arriving) that seems to be that.
He has not called her at all since her return (even before she changed her number)
He really did seem sorry when I found out about their affair and made it clear to me he would never leave me and needed me. Although he did go back to her giving her his new number (I had made him change it) 3 weeks after I caught him. And more recently he has asked her to be his "friend" but then I did see another text from him to her saying that maybe friends wasn't a good idea.
I have no idea now what he feels about not being able to contact her cos she changed her number. For all I know, he doesn't care.
So is it now time to forgive/forget? 10 year marriage and no kids.
She got back from hol last week.

Is it not possible that he really did just make a mistake? I know it was for 1 year and he never confessed until I caught him, but we all make mistakes and he won't do it again??

he is only sorry he got caught. image him carrying on with this woman for a year, he been off sleeping with her, and god knows who else, coming home to u and not haven a wash to sleep with u - vomit!!!
how know this woman change her number so u wouldnt have it, there is always emails and other ways contacting each other and by him running to her to give his new number just shows he wants still carry on.
once a cheat always a cheat, he got caught and u left him away with it so no doubt he will always think of u this way, u will never leave no matter who he is been with. he will cheat again no doubt and instead working on ur relationship from start he had an affair for whole year, 12months, 52weeks, such long time.
just glad no kids involved, u should just walk away and find somebody who respects u, as he did not respect u, no though for u and ur feelings, do think he though u while his d*ck was inside her (no protection no doubt) of course not, he only thinks about himself like all the other men and women who cheat out there. leave now before u do have his kids and he cheats again only to get his mistress preggers, leaving u and never be seeing again!!!!! |

Giving her his new number after you had him change it says a lot!
Only you can decide whether or not you can forgive him. Think about whether you can really trust him again. That should help you decide.

I would say no not time to forgive and forget.
Maybe forgive but NEVER forget. If you can honestly think you can trust him not to do it again then i think you should try and make it work but i also think once the trust is gone the relationship is over. If he goes out with his mates are you going to be sitting at home wondering where he is and who he is with?
