My MIL has made comments to me like this as well. But, she also says her son is just like his dad, and, she divorced his dad. Basically, she is saying, she couldn't put up with this crap, so, she's not sure how I do!!! |

Apparently he was a handful to her growing up! Is he difficult to deal with? Maybe she went through a lot with him as a teen. My mother always said one of my brothers was a "pain in her butt since he was 15!" She was surprised his wives (he has had several) could live with him, he isn't easy to live with. She never told him that. But, maybe your mother in law meant the same thing. |

She probably knows her son was bad in his youth or he was a bad boyfriend at once and she proabaly doesn't know why you would deal with someone who treats you badly but if hes changed then its good and she just doesnt notice |
