He will only stay clean if HE wants it.
You need Ala-non for you. Its a group for family members who suffer from loved ones being addicts. They will give you advice better than anyone here will. They are located pretty much anywhere there is an AA or NA meeting. Lots of churches have them too. They have a website. You should google it.
The only way you can FORCE him to get help is if he od's and is hospitlized (even then they will only hold him for 72 hours in most states)...or you call the cops when you know he has drugs on him and they can make him choose between jail or rehab. I know thats hard to do when you have a loved one that suffers from this disease. |

There's nothing you can do to make him stop. He has to want to. I am sorry he has chosen this, but you can do nothing except take care of yourself. You can have him involuntarily committed, but you will need to petition the court to do so. Courts traditionally don't like to do this. Take care of you. It's all you have. |

You'd probably have to go to court and get a court order. Best thing to do is to consult an attorney. They know this stuff; it's why they get paid the big bucks. |

Sounds like you can do better. If not you will be putting up with that for the rest of you life. Unless you think its really worth it do what ever you can do. But if hes not 100% then theres not much you can do |

you can have him committed but it's not going to do any good if he doesn't want that. |

nothing unless you can send him to jail.but you cant force anyone to be put in rehab unless they're a threat to themselves or anyone around them. |

i dont know about NC but in TX if they dont want it you cant force it. my dad has been the same for years.. hes been in jail several times, been so high while driving he passed out and ends up in the hospital, back to jail, back to the hospital, and on it goes and there is nothing we can do but let him sit in jail until they let him out.. he finally realized he needed help and went to rehab (on his own) that helped for a few months but hes back at it again......
you can try to get a court order for it.. but apparently you cant in TX.. but i would for sure see what the laws are in NC if i were you.. |

You have to draw the line... the shock factor of your reaction to his being back on drugs is usually what it takes to wake him up.
So it is you either kicking him to the curb or packing your things and moving out.
Or you just tell him you are filing for divorce.
Tell him that the only way to get you back is to get into rehab and get clean... period. |
