My daughter is my husbands step-daughter. He loves her vey much. But the bofriend and him don't get along. Now my daughter has had a baby girl, who I would like to see. How do I encourage my husband to get past his dislike of the boyfriend and be the bigger man? I want a relationship with my daughter and grandbaby.

My daughter is 20 years old. Her boyfriend is a little mental. He has accused my husband of some bizarre behavior that is completely untrue. My husband can't get past the accuations. I understand that, but I want to see my grandbaby. They won't come visit me at my house, and he makes going to their house a huge hassle. I kind of would ike to die now. I won't, but it sounds appealing.

It doesn't sound like your husband is the problem. If the crazy boyfriend thinks untru things and will not allow the baby around your husband how is this your husband's fault. The boyfriend is psycho so why not talk to your daughter. What does she say about this. Why can't she bring the baby to see you? Why can't you go there without the husband. Tell hubby you are going to see your grand child no matter what he says and you will take lots of pictures. IF he behaves himself you will let him look at them. In the mean time why isn't your daughter having her husband in some program for the mentally ill |

EDIT: Well it appears that I agree with your husband. Your daughters pick of men doesn't sound so good. Can't your daughters man apologize to your husband, that might help a little? |

how old is she? if she is underage then he is justified, but if she is an adult capable of making her own decisions and caring for the child then he is just being silly. |

If you want to have your daughter and grandchild in your life...no one can stop you. If your husband has issues around her bf...what has that got to do with you? tell your husband nothing will stop you having a relationship with them. It would be very wrong for your husband to try stop you from seeing them. If he has issues with the bf then let him deal with that. |
