My husband is self-harming?

He has PTSD, and I think this could be the cause.
He fell asleep on top of our bed, I took his jeans of so he would be more comfortable and I saw he had cuts along his thighs.
He doesn't know I know, and because of his condition I don't know whether to bring it up or not, and I don't know whether to tell his doctors. What do I do?

Talk to him then tell his doctors. He might not be amused if you talked to his doctors behind his back. Of course he'll beg you not to and promise to stop. Tell the doc anyway. Eventually he'll realize you did it because you love him. |

Tell him that you know, then tell his doctors.
The truth is the only thing that "may" set him free. Do you think he is hiding anything else from you?
How are you doing through all this? Are you finding time to take care of you? |

I would absolutely tell him you know, and I would inform his Doctors as well. He cannot get better if they don't know everything that is wrong. |

You should tell his doctors. I'm not sure if you should tell him yourself, but the minimum you need to do is tell his doctors so they can assess the situation and see what needs to be done. Goodluck! |
